“Botanical Vessel” Juried Show

Saratoga Clay Arts

This past spring I was honored to have my Buttonbush Vase selected for the 2026 “Botanical Vessel” juried show by Brenda Quinn at the Saratoga Clay Arts in Saratoga Springs. My piece was inspired by the buttonbush plants growing in the native garden in my front yard.

It was a spectacular exhibit and I loved seeing the brilliant techniques used by all of the artists to convey botanical forms. Botanical vessels are near and dear to my heart so I was super excited to be part of this show.

Why Onion Farm Ceramics?

Picture this… You are a senior in college. You are in the kitchen, chatting with your besties about your life after graduation. You are sad that you all won’t be living together anymore and things are going to change.

But aha! You see a solution to your dilemma in the corner of your kitchen. There on the windowsill, is an old onion sprouting roots and shoots, growing happily in an old Tostitos salsa jar. As college students with every intention of cooking those onions, well, instead, you have an impressive collection of sprouting onions. You realize, you don’t need to leave each other after all! You can sell your onions, live and be merry. Genius!!

The onion farm represents following your dreams, no matter how silly or seemingly impossible, and honoring those special friendships that have been with you for a long time.

Also, onions are delicious.
