Hello! I am Carly Shanks, potter at Onion Farm Ceramics. I work in Croton on Hudson, New York and I am a member at the Peekskill Clay Studios. I’ve been hooked on pottery ever since my first pinch pot in elementary school. Thank you Ms. Metzner!

My work is often inspired by nature and the changing seasons. I incorporate these ideas into my pottery using surface design techniques like painting, carving, and imprinting.

Making art is where I feel like my true self and at peace in my body. It is an honor to share my work with you.
